Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you were to plan for a perfect wedding in the middle of a raging global pandemic? Sedrick Askew and his assembled team of top-tier wedding experts came together to slay the challenges of the pandemic and created this beautiful styled shoot to show us that love truly can conquer all.
The magic of this rustic wedding look in an industrial setting was created at 409 South Main in Memphis. Originally built in 1912, the venue transformed from a grocery store to one of the first cosmetics stores to cater to African American women.Abandoned before turning into one of the most sought-after venues in Memphis, 409 South Main brings with it a rich history to add instant authenticity to any event.
For this session, the creatives succeeded in bringing us up close and personal with two gorgeous men who showed us what love can be despite the limitations of a global pandemic.
The table design was as though it was lifted from a rustic wedding picture book. With a runner made of Bald Cypress and pine cones, it provided the perfect foundation on which to build the rest of this fantastic look. The oversized classic round white candles, the multi-sized brass flower stands with light blue and off-white Big-leaf Hydrangeas filled with glossy privets made way for brown ceramic chargers, tall stemmed gold-rimmed champagne flutes. No detail was overlooked in creating this masterpiece.
Even the cake served us up with a level of rustic sophistication. This delectable three-tier two-toned treat blended well with the other decor and the grooms’ attire. Adorned with fully bloomed China roses, buttoned with a round cluster of six pearls on each tier, and surrounded by glossy privet, this cake was perfect for the occasion.
Now let’s address the men featured in this exclusive BGW styled shoot.; they were perfectly matched in custom-fitted black tuxedos, blue vests, and bow-tie. Every picture together gave us love, warmth, and passion for one another. Their smiles and their closeness says it all; if this were their wedding day, the honeymoon would be off-limits to prying eyes.
Authentic and undeniable love was definitely captured during this session, and we want to thank our team of creatives for coming together and bringing a little love and warmth in to escape our winter reality.
